Yardhand & Trade Assistant

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Yardhand and Trade Assistant to join a busy and established operation. These are excellent opportunities for candidates looking for long term, permanent employment with consistent work and overtime opportunities.

Yardhand

• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Loading and unloading structural steel
• Forklift Operations
• Operating Tower Crane
• Receiving and checking deliveries
• Stock control and general stores duties
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

Trade Assistant

• Assisting tradespeople with day to day tasks
• Using hand and power tools
• Moving materials and assisting with loading and unloading
• General workshop duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current forklift licence and practical operating experience (essential for both positions)
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, workshop or manufacturing/ production environment
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to undertake manual handling and physically demanding tasks
• Good communication skills and a team focused attitude
• Commitment to workplace health and safety

Additional Advantage – Yardhand:
